70 Years of Keeping the

World Moving

From the first pedal strokes in 1956 to millions of riders today, Hero Cycles has always believed in one thing:

Life isn’t lived standing still.

For generations, bicycles have carried people through everyday journeys, childhood adventures, and the quiet freedom of moving at their own pace. Hero Cycles grew alongside those moments, becoming part of how millions discovered the joy of riding.

Seventy years later, that belief still drives everything we do. Because movement is not just about reaching somewhere. It’s about discovering who you become along the way.

A belief in moving

forward

When Shri Om Prakash Munjal founded Hero Cycles in 1956, his vision was simple but powerful.

He believed that something as humble as a bicycle could change everyday life. It could help people travel further, work harder, explore more, and experience a new sense of independence.

That belief shaped a culture built on perseverance, craftsmanship, and trust. Over the decades, Hero Cycles grew not just as a manufacturer, but as a brand that quietly supported millions of journeys.

And with every generation of riders, the story continued to move forward.

Moments that pushed the ride forward

Over seven decades, Hero Cycles has continued to evolve with the changing rhythm of the world. Each milestone represents a step forward in expanding access, improving technology, and reimagining the possibilities of cycling.
