About E-cycles
1. What is an E-Cycle?
E-cycle runs on battery which is power driven by a motor. You can ride 100% on battery power without pedalling, use a combo of battery and pedal or just pedal the classic way.
2. E-cycles can be ridden in more than one mode, right?
Well absolutely! There are 4 riding modes – Pedelec, Throttle, Cruise and Pedal. You can go 100% electric with Throttle at 25km/hr or Cruise at 6km/hr speed. Pedelec allows riding with electric assist and pedal when you want to sweat it out.
3. What’s the best feature of an e-cycle?
Well we are split between Pedelec & Throttle. Pedelec allows you to go faster and further with battery assist, and Throttle leaves you surprised with a feeling of awe. You can’t shake it away!
4. How does an e-cycle fit into my life?
Well 70% of us get out of home everyday for work. Add to this the outings you do for fitness and leisure, we are on the road a lot! With the average distance of travel being not more than 15kms, e-cycles serve as a fast, green, and an easy to navigate option for the busy roads of cities.
5. What benefits will I get with this e-cycle?
Well, you will definitely save on fuel costs, you can ride at just 7p/km. It’s a green bike – no pollution, no emissions. Riding on pedal mode can be you daily cardio exercise, and ofcourse Throttle when you are in a rush. So many benefits in one e-cycle.

Hero Lectro E-cycles
1. How many KMs does it cover in one full charge?
In one charge on Pedelec mode, you can ride anywhere from 30 - 60 kms depending on your battery capacity. Makes it perfect for daily rides.
2. How fast can I go?
You can ride at a top speed of 25km/hr with Throttle mode, and no bar with Pedelec. The rigorously you pedal, faster you go.
3. What is the cost per km with a Hero Lectro e-cycle?
Only 7 paise per kilometre.
4. How much power does the motor have?
250 Watts.
5. Which battery does it have and what is the Voltage/Ampere hour of the battery?
It has a Lithium ion battery of 36Volts.
6. How long does it take to fully charge the battery?
We ideally recommend 3-4 hours for 5.8AH, 4-5 hours for a 6.4AH & 6-7 hours for 11.6 AH with the original fast charger which comes with every Hero Lectro e-cycle.
7. What is the life of the battery?
500 charging cycles, warranty coverage is 2 years.
8. How much does it cost to charge it once fully?
Just 0.25 units of electricity. Yes, your laptop might consume more.
9. How do you turn the battery on/off?
Simply use the On/Off button on the LED display mounted on left handlebar.
10. Is the battery waterproof?
Yes, battery is water & dust repellent as per IP67 standards.
11. Is it a steel frame or an alloy frame?
It’s a 6061-alloy frame. Sleek and sturdy.
12. How much weight can it carry?
Maximum 100kgs, including weight of the bike and rider.
13. What tyre sizes are available?
26,27.5, 29 & 700C tyre sizes are available.
14. What accessories are compatible?
Common accessories like mudguards and carriers fits most of our e-cycles, and many additional accessories are available at our dealer points.
15. Does pedalling charge the battery?
No, the efficient motors used by Hero Lectro are not regenerative. Most regenerative motors provide minimal amount of power back to the battery, and sacrifice a lot on efficiency.
Warranty & Service
1. What is the warranty on Hero Lectro e-cycles?
You get a lifetime warranty on frame and 2 years warranty on all electronic parts including battery, motor, controller, charger, display, sensor and throttle.
2. How can I avail warranty?
If any manufacturing defect is found in our e-cycle, we will repair or replace the part free of cost, provided e-cycle is under warranty period and the malfunction is caused due to faulty material or workmanship during manufacturing. Check warranty page for further on terms & conditions.
3. How can I register warranty post purchase?
You can register your warranty at warranty registration with just few clicks.
4. Where can I make warranty claims?
You can visit our dealership where the e-cycle was purchased from. Warranty claims and queries can also be routed to 1800 889 2004 or [email protected].
5. In case of a breakdown, is there a service back up/ support for Hero Lectro?
In the unlikely case of a breakdown, you can connect with our authorized Hero Lectro dealerships or you could reach us directly at 1800 889 2004 or [email protected].
6. Do I get any free services?
We are not offering any free services as of now, you can pay and avail from the dealerships.
7. What schedule should I follow for servicing?
You should get the 1st service within 30-40 days of purchase, post that you can follow a quarterly schedule for upkeep and fitness of you e-cycle.
Maintenance & Safety
1. Should I be worried about periodic maintenance?
Hero Lectro e-cycle is a low maintenance and highly durable gadget. It promises you a long hassle- free ownership, though we recommend that periodic checks and services be done for the best performance.
2. Does the battery wear out if kept idle and not charged for some time?
No, in fact Lithium-ion batteries last its full life irrespective of use, but for proper functioning of E-Cycle battery must be charged once in a month.
3. How does one take the battery out from inside the down tube?
As a safety measure, we suggest this should be done by a Hero Lectro Certified technician at an authorised Hero Lectro Dealer/service centre.
4. Is the battery safe enough?
Yes, it is like a mobile phone battery and the cells used inside are from Panasonic and other world-class manufacturer.
5. How can one lock it to avoid theft?
Like a normal bicycle with a regular lock. With the smart series, you can also use RFID bike lock to avoid any tampering with electronic components
6. Does law mandates for helmet while riding?
No, but for your safety, we strictly recommend that you wear one when you ride.
7. How do I maintain the tyres?
Inspect the wear-tear of the tyres on regular basis and verify the tyre pressure at regular interval. Desired air pressure range is marked on every tyre.
8. How can I know by just visual inspection if my e-cycle needs maintenance?
Any form of crack, color change or multiple scratches in highly stressed areas like bends or joints indicate that the life of the components has been reached and it should be replaced.

2. How far can I ride on a Hero Lectro Cargo E-Bike with a single charge?
Hero Lectro WINN, offers a range of ~55 Kms* whereas with WINN-X you may ride up to 75Kms* in one full electric charge (*under standard test conditions).
3. What is the loading capacity of Hero Lectro WINN?
Hero Lectro WINN can carry a volumetric load of up to 180 ltrs or 70Kgs of payload(in addition to the rider's weight).
4. What is a Pedelec mode in Hero Lectro Cargo E-Bikes?
In the Pedelec mode of Hero Lectro Cargo E-Bikes, the user has to turn ON the battery by pressing a button on the display unit then use the pedelec mode, which reduces the pedaling effort up to 80%, especially while going uphill.
5. What is a throttle mode in Hero Lectro Cargo E-Bikes?
In the Throttle mode your Cargo E-Bikes functions entirely on battery. No manual effort is required while using this mode.
6. How long does it take to fully charge the battery?
Hero Lectro WINN gets 60% charged in 4 hrs and 100% charged in 7 hrs. For WINN-X it takes up to 5 hours to partially charge(60%) and about 8 hours to fully charge the battery.
7. How much power does the motor of Hero Lectro WINN have?
Hero Lectro WINN & WINN-X are equipped with a powerful motor of 250w to carry load with ease.
8. What kind of battery does Hero Lectro WINN have?
Hero Lectro WINN & WINN-X come with a 36V Lithium ion quick release lockable battery, which is easy to remove and recharge.
9. Does Hero Lectro Cargo e-bike comes with any accesories?
No, however, You may place your request to the dealer while making a purchase. It is recommended to always use the Lectro specified accessories, to avoid any impact to the warranty of the Cargo E-Bike.

1. Do I require licence or registration to ride this Hero Lectro Cargo E-Bikes?
Hero Lectro Cargo E-bikes are easy Plug & Play. No licence/ registration is required to ride it.
2. Is it expensive to use electricity for charging the battery?
Hero Lectro cargo e-bike only consumes less then 1 unit of electricity to be fully charged with its original charger. It's very economical when compared to fuel bikes.
3. Does this e-bike require periodic maintenence?
Hero Lectro Cargo E-Bikes are low-maintenance and highly durable bikes. These bikes comes with a promise of a long hassle-free ownership, though peroidic checks and service are recommended for best performance.
4. What are the different modes in the cargo e-bike?
The Cargo E-Bike runs on 4 different modes: Pedal, Throttle, Pedelac and Walk/Cruise. You can easily switch to your preferred riding mode as per your convenience.
5. What is the average shelf life of the Battery?
The all-weather super durable battery of Hero Lectro WINN is built to last up to 800 charging cycles and comes with a 1 year warranty as well.
6. How Fast can I ride on a Hero Lectro cargo E-Bike?
Hero Lectro WINN/WINN-X can be ridden at a maximum speed of 25km per hour (On throttle). Its Aluminium Alloy step through frame promotes easy and safer rides on-the-go, but we request you to ride it safely.
7. Is there an anti theft feature on the Hero Lectro Cargo E-bike?
Hero Lectro WINN/WINN-X comes with lockable BLDC Motor that promotes anti-theft. It can also be locked with a key at rear wheel for additional security.
